OhioMeansJobs-Pickaway County, a proud partner of the American Job Center network, is a partnership of organizations and service providers in Fairfield, Pickaway, Ross, Hocking, and Vinton counties who work together to assist people seeking work, looking for better jobs, or those who need training. Youth services are also provided to help those ages 14-21 who are in need of completing their education, finding jobs, training, or those who need assistance in basic skills to become self-sufficient. OhioMeansJobs-Pickaway County, a proud partner of the American Job Center network, also assists employers who seek qualified applicants for existing or future job openings.

OhioMeansJobs-Pickaway County, a proud partner of the American Job Center network, offers a unique service for the job seeker. At our location the job seeker will find everything needed to find a job and to secure one—in one handy location. The state of the art Resource Room at OhioMeansJobs-Pickaway County, a proud partner of the American Job Center network, is truly that, a room full of resources. The job seeker may want to start with the job board. The job board is updated daily. The board is posted by job category and posts jobs in our county and the surrounding area. Some employers post exclusively through OhioMeansJobs so the only way to find out about these jobs is through the OhioMeansJobs-Pickaway County, a proud partner of the American Job Center network. If a job sounds interesting copy the job description and get a resume ready – everything needed for this can be found in the resource room. The Resource Room has a number of publications, videos and CD’s to help you create a top-quality resume and cover letter. If your interviewing skills aren’t quite up to par there are reference books and guides to help in these areas as well. Many of these publications can be checked out, much like a library so you can brush up your skills at home. When you’re ready to create your resume the Resource Room has the computers, papers, and copiers you need to create a professional resume. When completed you will also be able to fax your resume from the Resource Room and since so many employers now require on-line submission the Resource Room offers internet capability where the job seeker can log-on and submit the resume from his or her own personal email account. He/she can also check email for employer responses. The Resource Room has telephones for use to contact employers for follow-up calls and people to aid in your job search. Some employers even leave applications at OhioMeansJobs-Pickaway County, a proud partner of the American Job Center network – all one has to do is complete the application and leave it with the friendly and helpful staff.
